Where to stop
The airport's access page names Parking Express as the place for dropping off or collecting passengers. It is an open-air car park, 2 minutes from the terminals. The words "kiss and ride" do not appear, and we read nothing there about a free drop-off area.
To reach the airport, type "Brussels South Charleroi Airport" into your satnav. If it cannot find that, the airport gives the address rue d'Heppignies, 6043 Ransart. Do not stop by the access road to wait. Use that time in the car park, where you can unload your cases at ease.
What it costs
The airport states €2 per half hour. So you pay €2 for a drop-off of under thirty minutes, and €4 for an hour's wait when meeting a flight.
You pay at one of the airport's 20 payment machines, with Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or Bancontact. Go to the machine before you return to your car. Each machine has an intercom if something goes wrong, and the airport also gives +32 71 251 853 for parking problems.
These rates come from the airport page read on 31/10/2026. Check them on the sign at the entrance, which is what counts on the day you visit.
Check the road before you leave
The N568, which runs along the airport, had roadworks this autumn. Sofico began them on 28 September 2026, over about two kilometres, between the allée Centrale roundabout in Jumet and the rue d'Heppignies roundabout. In October the latter closed for a week and the direction towards Jumet until 23 October.
The third phase had no date in the articles we read, and we do not know whether everything has finished. The bypass between Fleurus and the airport stayed open. If you are coming to drop someone off, check the traffic before leaving and keep ten minutes in hand for a morning flight.
When the passenger must be there
The airport asks you to arrive about 2 hours before departure, and 3 hours in busy periods such as school holidays and weekends. Check-in desks open at least 2 hours before and close 40 minutes before.
Work backwards from the flight time and add your driving time. For a 10:00 flight on a holiday Saturday, drop your passenger off at about 7:00. If you leave straight away, €2 will do.
If you are coming back later to collect them, follow the flight live on CRL Gate and leave home according to the time shown, so you do not pay for an extra hour of parking.
