Sofico began a new phase of its N568 works beside the airport on 12 October. The roundabout between the N568 and rue d'Heppignies stayed closed until 16 October, as did the stretch towards the allée Centrale of the Jumet business park. The direction towards Jumet was due to stay closed until 23 October for resurfacing.
The works had started on 28 September, over about two kilometres, according to Télésambre. The bypass linking the N568 from Fleurus to the airport stayed open during the works.
