A private drone halted operations at Charleroi for about 25 minutes one Wednesday afternoon. Skeyes systems spotted it at around 14:00. An arriving aircraft was put into a hold, and passengers on another were taken off as a precaution.
The drone pilot was detained and faces a fine. He says he is an estate agent and was photographing a building for a project. Air Journal recalls that Zaventem, Charleroi and Liège had already suspended traffic in November 2025 after drone reports.
